MNMUR (mi-ni-mur)

MNMUR is a project that combines design, experimentation, and self-production, founded by the idea of Marco Giambra and Laura Comino.

It began through research into unconventional materials, especially used bicycle inner tubes: an abundant waste material with strong creative potential. The initial interest — transforming an existing material into something new, useful, and meaningful — gradually evolved into a true design approach.

The work develops through direct experimentation and material transformation, with constant attention to form, function, and the possibilities created by constraints. From this process emerge objects and projects that redefine the identity of their original materials.

MNMUR operates through self-production, managing every stage of the process internally: from research to manufacturing. This method allows for control, flexibility, and creative freedom, outside the logic of mass-market production.

Alongside production, the project also includes research activities and workshops, conceived as spaces for experimentation and sharing. The focus is placed more on processes than on objects, and on the transformative possibilities that emerge from working with what already exists.
